Lorenzo Be Quiet for Rossi’s Departure
Jorge Lorenzo is no longer paired with 2009 world champion, Valentino Rossi. The Doctor -Rossi’s nickname- leaves Yamaha to Ducati start from the 2011 season.
Speculation that is circulating saying that this time is top rivalry for Lorenzo and Rossi. Both these drivers are equally ‘big’ and it is difficult for Yamaha to determine the priorities. The competition of both even makes separation of the data of both drivers in a team. This reportedly prompted directly by Rossi.
But Lorenzo was reluctant to be blamed as the source of the departure of The Doctor. This Spanish man confessed would more focus on trying out a Yamaha new bike, YZR-M1.
“I do not want to get involved with what people say. Now I have to really focus because we were fighting for (title) champion,” Lorenzo said as quoted by the official MotoGP website, Wednesday, August 18, 2010.
“From what was I awake, I’m developing a motorcycle (the latest Yamaha),” he added.
Although dodged, the Rossi‘s statement a day after declared his moving become a satire for Lorenzo. Was said by Rossi if the Yamaha situation is now different.
“Yamaha’s got a great racer, so it seems they do not need me anymore,” Rossi said some time ago.
